Enjoy a delicious Thai meal at Harrisonburg Mennonite Church next Sunday, Nov. 15, 5:30 p.m. Longtime workers Skip and Carol Tobin and newly appointed workers Mark and Sarah Schoenhals will share about what God is doing in Northeast Thailand. Donations will go toward the Schoenhals' assignment, which begins in January. They are serving under Virginia Mennonite Missions and Eastern Mennonite Missions. Collection week for Operation Christmas Child (an international project of Samaritan's Purse) will be November 16-23. Choice Books, a Christian book ministry, is looking for volunteers to review books for placement on Choice Books displays in stores across the country. Book reviewers should have some knowledge of Anabaptist/Mennonite faith, life, history, and theology, a commitment to Jesus Christ, and the skills needed to evaluate the literary quality of books and to complete review forms. Meserete Kristos College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is looking for volunteers to serve. (Meserete Kristos College is operated by the Mennonite church of Ethiopia.) Carpenters are needed to build cupboards in the men's dorm. Detailed plans will be provided upon inquiry. Also an accountant is sought to come for 2-3 months to help strengthen the college's accounts department.
